The October competition is now a thing of the past, and I truly hope we never have weather conditions like we had on the 30^th for any competitions in future. In spite of the 25 knots of NE, some of us did manage to bring a couple of fish to the scales and more importantly to the Sunday evening braai.

Roelf Kleinschmidt won the competition, yours truly came second and Johan Els ended third. We all caught Rock cod of various sizes. Some more rock cod and slingers were sufficient for an extremely festive Prize giving braai on the Sunday evening.

I would personally like to thank all who braved the foul weather in order to make this competition happen. Also a special thanks to the skippers for their dedication and the use of their boats, and last but not the least those who made the Prize giving such an success.

Hopefully the weather will be more co-operative with our next competition. I urge all members to join us for a weekend of fun. We can provide boats and tackle for those of you willing to give it a try. Also remember that all members are invited to join the Sunday evening Prize giving and braai.
