TREASURER'S ACCOUNT
The Special General
Meeting to ratify the financial statements for the year 2004/2005 has
been set for the 11 December 2005. So the pressure is now on in the
office to meet the deadline I have set to get the consolidated financial
statements of both the Club and the Walk-ons to the auditors by Monday 28
November 2005. Come hell or high water, we will meet this deadline, as we
need to complete this lengthy and costly exercise once and for all and
put it to bed.
The Club is in the
unfortunate position of having over R500, 000.00 in overdue members’
accounts. As the club needs money to operate we call on all our members
to please settle their accounts. The office has complied a defaulters
list that is now displayed
on the notice board in accordance with Club rules:

Defaulters will be listed on the notice board. All accounts over 60 days will be
given one month to settle, thereafter membership will be terminated
and legal action taken to recover
debt.
(Rule 23.6 of the ZLYC
Constitution and Rules, p,18
)

Resignation of members:
Resignations must be made in writing to the Honorary Treasurer
and any member resigning shall be liable for his or her subscriptions
for the financial year during which such resignation is received.
(Rule 3 of the ZLYC
Constitution and Rules, p,10 )

Security will be checking
everybody’s membership cards and you will not be allowed inside without a
valid membership card. Please
co-operate. Let’s avoid all this
nonsense and costs by settling our accounts timorously.
Please note that all
caravan park bookings for December holidays must be done through the office and will be done on a
first come first serve basis. Please be advised that the caravan park is strictly for use of
members only. Please see rule 13 of the rules of the club.
From the 1st of
January 2006 we will be applying clause 23.19 of the rules of the club.
In short all the live-a boards who have been residing on their boats at
the club for more than 12 months will have their live-aboard fee
escalated by 50 %.

have gone beyond the call
of duty.
The staff is only
doing their job on instruction of myself and the rest of the Executive
Committee. If you want to be rude,

Let’s enjoy our club
and most and foremost;
Do it by having fun.
